Mission
The Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy (CIDRAP) has a twofold mission: 
- To ensure that policy related to infectious diseases reflects the most up-to-date biomedical knowledge 
- To promote better understanding of infectious disease issues among health professionals and the public. 
Research and Activities
CIDRAP is focusing on: 
- Conducting original, interdisciplinary research on the epidemiology, prevention, and control of infectious diseases 
- Convening teams of international experts to develop state-of-the-art policy recommendations and clinical practice guidelines 
- Participating in the formation of national and, in some cases, international public policy 
- Offering educational opportunities to professionals, students, and the public 
- Providing current, comprehensive, and authoritative Internet-based information on infectious disease topic areas
