Program

The mission of the University of Minnesota International Medical Education and Research Program is to promote an exchange of international educational, research and other scholarly opportunities for medical and graduate students and faculty.

The focus of the program initially (years 1-3) will be on education (clinical, basic science, and public health, including research in these three arenas) of medical and graduate students. In addition to promoting bi-directional exchange of students between the University of Minnesota and appropriate organizations within developing and developed countries, the program should foster educational experiences with organizations involved in international health within the State of Minnesota (Minnesota Department of Health, Hennepin County Medical Center, Regions Hospital, and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center).
